Affiliate Manager: Track and Retry Failed PayPal Payouts
TL;DR
Affiliate Manager now surfaces PayPal-denied payouts in a dedicated Failed tab with error reasons and retry actions.

TL;DR
HighLevel added Failed and Processing tabs to Affiliate Manager Payouts, displaying PayPal denial reasons and a retry option. If you pay affiliates through PayPal, you can now review and resolve failed payouts directly.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed specific plan gating or tier requirements. This change applies to operators managing affiliate programs inside sub-accounts who disburse payouts through PayPal. Agencies not using Affiliate Manager can safely ignore it.
What changed
- Added a 'Failed' tab on the Payouts page to display payouts denied or failed by the payment gateway.
- Added a 'Processing' tab on the Payouts page that appears whenever payouts are currently in progress.
- Added a 'PAYMENT FAILED' badge and the explicit PayPal failure reason to failed payout records.
- Added four admin actions on failed payouts: View Contact, View Commission(s), View Payment Status, and Retry Payment.
- Configured 'Retry Payment' to shift failed payouts back to 'Approved for Payout' status so they can be processed again.
HighLevel has not confirmed rollout status, plan gating, or whether this replaces or breaks prior payout flows.
Where to find it
Inside your sub-account, navigate to Marketing > Affiliate Manager > Payouts. The new Processing and Failed tabs will appear on the Payouts table view.
How agencies will use this
When a scheduled affiliate payout fails through PayPal due to an account issue or payment gateway rejection, the agency operator no longer has to leave the platform to diagnose the problem. The operator navigates to Marketing > Affiliate Manager > Payouts and opens the Failed tab. They inspect the PAYMENT FAILED badge and the recorded PayPal failure reason, use View Contact to communicate with the affiliate about their account setup, check View Commission(s) to confirm the owed balance, and click Retry Payment to move the transaction back to Approved for Payout for the next run.
Our take
This is a standard quality-of-life update, not a major shift in how the platform works. If you do not actively pay affiliates through the native PayPal gateway, it will not impact your daily operations. For those who do, having error reasons and a retry button inside the sub-account avoids unnecessary support back-and-forth.
