Manage Client Portal App Permissions and Auth in HighLevel
TL;DR
Admins can now toggle visibility for specific child apps and manage authentication options in the HighLevel Client Portal.

TL;DR
HighLevel now allows admins to hide or show specific child apps inside the Client Portal and configure authentication methods like Google Sign-In. Check your portal settings if you need to restrict what clients see.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed which plans or sub-account types have access to this update. Any operator currently offering or configuring a Client Portal for sub-accounts should check their settings.
What changed
- Users can enable or disable the visibility of specific child apps within the Client Portal, covering communities, courses, affiliates, billing, contracts, estimates, shared files, and appointments.
- Admins can configure sign-up and sign-in authentication methods, including an option to toggle off Google Sign-In.
- Rollout status, plan gating, limits, and whether this replaces existing behavior have not been confirmed by HighLevel.
Where to find it
Navigate to Memberships > Client Portal > Settings > App Permissions.
How agencies will use this
An agency configuring a sub-account client portal for standard account management can now strip out irrelevant modules. If a client only needs to view invoices, sign agreements, and book sessions, the admin can navigate to App Permissions and turn off communities, courses, affiliates, and shared files. That leaves only billing, contracts, estimates, and appointments visible in the portal view. If the agency requires clients to log in using standard credentials rather than third-party accounts, the admin can toggle off Google Sign-In in the authentication controls.
Our take
This is a minor, standard setting adjustment. It gives cleaner control over the portal layout so clients are not confused by unused features, but it will not fundamentally change your agency workflows this week.
