Grant Member-Specific Course Access in HighLevel Communities
TL;DR
Admins can now manually grant and revoke access to private community courses directly from the member list without automations.

TL;DR
Admins can now grant or revoke individual member access to private community courses directly from the members list. No action is required unless you manually gate learning material inside HighLevel Communities.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed specific plan gating or which sub-account tiers are affected. Agency operators and clients running community groups with native courses will see this change. If you do not use HighLevel Communities, you can safely ignore it.
What changed
HighLevel introduced manual controls for course visibility and access inside Communities:
- Community course visibility can be set to Private, which restricts default visibility to admin access only.
- Admins can manually assign private course access to individual community members from the members list.
- Admins can manually revoke that course access from individual community members at any time.
HighLevel has not confirmed limits, plan requirements, rollout status, or whether this replaces or breaks existing setups.
Where to find it
Inside your sub-account, navigate to Memberships > Communities > Groups > Learning tab. Course visibility settings are adjusted in the Learning tab, and individual member access is managed directly from the community members list.
How agencies will use this
Agencies running a community group can host a private course or bonus training in the Learning tab with visibility set to Private. When a member purchases access or qualifies for custom material, an admin goes directly to the community members list and grants that individual access by hand. If the arrangement ends, the admin returns to the members list and revokes access immediately without needing to configure or troubleshoot an automated workflow.
Our take
This is a minor update. It fills an operational gap for admins who want simple, member-level permissions without configuring extra systems. If your access control is already handled or you do not use native Communities, this will not change your day-to-day operations.
