Advanced QR Code Analytics: Device, Browser, and Location Data
TL;DR
HighLevel now tracks device types, browsers, and geographic locations for QR code scans, with historical data backfilled to August 28, 2024.

TL;DR
HighLevel added device, browser, and geographic reporting to QR code analytics, with historical scan data dating back to August 28, 2024.
No operational changes are required, and existing scan metrics remain intact.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed whether this update applies to specific plans or sub-account permissions. Agencies actively using native QR codes will see the new reporting, while teams using third-party QR tools can ignore it.
What changed
- Added device-level analytics displaying scan data broken down by device type.
- Added browser-level analytics categorizing scan data by browser.
- Added geographic analytics reporting scans at country, state, and city levels.
- Made historical scan data available for supported analytics dating back to August 28, 2024.
- Retained existing tracking metrics for Total Scans and Unique Scans.
- Plan gating and usage limits: HighLevel has not confirmed any tier restrictions.
- Rollout status: HighLevel has not confirmed whether this is live for all accounts immediately or releasing in phases.
Where to find it
Inside the sub-account, go to QR Codes > Analytics.
How agencies will use this
An agency managing sub-accounts with physical marketing collateral can navigate to QR Codes > Analytics to evaluate campaign distribution. Rather than seeing only total and unique counts, operators can inspect geographic breakdowns down to the city, state, and country level to see where scans originated. Teams can also review device and browser breakdowns to verify mobile operating environments for their destination landing pages.
Our take
This is a standard, minor feature improvement. QR code tracking in HighLevel was previously limited to basic volume counts. Getting city-level location, browser, and device data brings the native tool closer to standalone QR generators, and backfilling data to August 28, 2024 makes it useful immediately. If you do not use native QR codes, it changes nothing for your business.
