WhatsApp Call Recording and Transcripts Added to HighLevel
TL;DR
HighLevel now supports automated call recording, transcription, and consent announcements for WhatsApp calls.

TL;DR
HighLevel added automated call recording, transcription, and consent announcements for inbound and outbound WhatsApp calls. Review your WhatsApp settings if your agency or clients handle calls over WhatsApp.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed specific plan gating or which sub-account tiers are affected. Agencies and sub-accounts using WhatsApp for client communications should review the feature, while teams that do not use WhatsApp calling can safely ignore it.
What changed
- Added automated call recording and transcription for both inbound and outbound WhatsApp calls.
- Added call audio playback with scrubbing and speed controls directly inside the Conversations tab.
- Added automated speaker-separated and searchable transcripts that automatically detect the spoken language.
- Added automated pre-call consent announcements featuring customizable recording reasons and multiple language selections.
- Added controls to enable call recording, call transcription, or both on individual WhatsApp numbers.
- HighLevel has not confirmed limits, plan gating, rollout status, or whether this replaces or breaks existing setups.
Where to find it
Configure the settings by navigating to Settings → Communications → WhatsApp → Calling. Call audio playback, controls, and transcripts appear directly inside the Conversations tab.
How agencies will use this
An agency configures a dedicated WhatsApp number under Settings → Communications → WhatsApp → Calling, enabling both call recording and transcription alongside a pre-call consent announcement in the client's spoken language.
When team members take inbound or make outbound WhatsApp calls with leads, the caller hears the automated consent prompt before connecting.
After the call wraps, the account manager navigates to the Conversations tab to review the interaction. Instead of listening to the entire call, the manager scans the speaker-separated, language-detected transcript or uses audio scrubbing and speed controls to verify key details.
Our take
This is a major functional update for teams operating in markets where WhatsApp is the primary communication channel. Bringing audio playback, scrubbing, and searchable transcripts directly into the Conversations tab closes a notable visibility gap for WhatsApp calling, provided HighLevel does not attach restrictive gating down the line.
