View Contact Details from Opportunities or Appointments

TL;DR
HighLevel added a contact overlay for Opportunities and Appointments. You can now view contact details and conversation history without leaving the page. This feature is activated in Labs.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who this affects. Users who regularly manage contacts within the Opportunities or Appointments sections might find this useful.
What changed
- Contact profiles now open in a slide-out panel directly from the Opportunities or Appointments sections.
- This new contact overlay displays contact details and conversation history side by side.
- Users can switch between a single or two-column view within the overlay.
- Contact details can be updated directly from this panel without navigating away from the Opportunities or Appointments page.
- This feature must be activated in Labs.
- HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating for this feature.
- HighLevel has not confirmed the rollout status for this feature.
Where to find it
This feature is found within the Opportunities or Appointments sections. It needs to be activated first in Labs. HighLevel has not published the exact navigation path within Labs yet, but expect to find a toggle for this functionality there.
How agencies will use this
An agency owner managing a sales pipeline might use this to quickly qualify leads or prepare for calls. For example, while reviewing the "New Leads" stage in the Opportunities board, a sales agent can click on a contact's card. Instead of opening a new tab, the contact's full profile slides out. The agent can see their contact information, recent calls, and email exchanges, all within the same view. If they notice the contact's phone number is missing, they can add it immediately in the overlay. They might also check their lead source in the custom fields before dragging the contact to the next pipeline stage. This avoids context switching and keeps the sales agent focused on the pipeline board.
Our take
This is a standard update. It addresses a minor workflow inefficiency. Agencies that heavily rely on the Opportunities or Appointments sections for sales and client management may appreciate the convenience of viewing contact details without leaving the page. HighLevel has not confirmed its broader significance, nor is there information about its full rollout or any potential impact on existing workflows. It's a small quality-of-life improvement, not a major platform shift.
