Social Planner: Client Invite Links for Social Accounts

TL;DR
Agencies can now send external, password-protected links for clients to connect their social media accounts without sub-account access.
Turn it on in Labs if you want to stop collecting client login credentials manually.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed which specific plans or user roles are affected.
Any agency using the Social Planner to manage client social media can use this workflow if they have access to Labs.
What changed
- Added Social Connect Invite in Labs, allowing agencies to generate password-protected links for clients to connect social accounts externally without needing sub-account access.
- Added support for either auto-generated or custom passwords on invite links.
- Set invite links to expire 30 days after creation.
- Enabled automatic syncing of connected social accounts directly into the agency sub-account.
- Added an invite management section under Settings → Manage Links → Social Connect Link to extend validity, regenerate, or revoke links.
- Plan gating and specific rollout timelines have not been confirmed by HighLevel.
Where to find it
To generate an invite, go to Marketing → Social Planner → Settings → Social Accounts.
To manage existing links, navigate to Settings → Manage Links → Social Connect Link.
Because this feature is currently in Labs, you will need to enable Social Connect Invite in your Labs settings first.
How agencies will use this
When onboarding a new client into a sub-account, an agency admin generates a Social Connect Link from the Social Planner settings.
The admin sets an auto-generated or custom password and sends the link to the client.
The client opens the link externally, enters the password, and connects their social profiles without receiving full user access to the HighLevel sub-account.
Once authorized, the connected profiles automatically sync back into the agency sub-account for scheduling.
If an onboarding link sits unused, the agency can visit the Social Connect Link settings to extend the 30-day validity window or revoke it.
Our take
This is a solid operational update for anyone doing social media management in HighLevel.
Handing sub-account access to clients just to connect a Facebook or LinkedIn profile was always unnecessary overhead and a security risk.
It is in Labs right now, but once enabled, it removes friction from onboarding without requiring third-party workaround tools.
