TL;DR
Rich link, video, and interactive event previews are now automatically generated in Communities posts and comments. This is a minor update.
Who this affects
This change affects any agency owner or SaaS entrepreneur using the Communities feature within HighLevel. HighLevel has not confirmed who specifically is affected, nor if any specific plan levels or sub-account setups are required.
What changed
HighLevel has introduced several enhancements to how links and events are displayed in Communities:
- Rich link and video previews are automatically generated when a supported link is pasted into a post or comment.
- Supported videos can be played directly from the feed within Communities.
- Interactive event preview cards are automatically generated when an event is mentioned in a post within Communities.
- Event preview cards display the event name, date, time, price, and status.
- Members can register or RSVP directly from these event preview cards within Communities.
HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating for this feature, nor its rollout status.
Where to find it
This feature is located within the Communities section of the HighLevel platform. When creating a new post or comment in Communities, pasting a supported link or mentioning an event will automatically generate the corresponding preview. HighLevel has not published a specific navigation path.
How agencies will use this
An agency running a training program might use the Communities feature to engage its clients. When a new live webinar is scheduled, the agency owner can post a simple mention of the event, and HighLevel will automatically generate an interactive event card showing the webinar's name, date, time, and price. Clients can then click directly on this card to register or RSVP for the webinar without leaving the Communities feed. Similarly, if the agency shares a link to a YouTube tutorial or a helpful article, a rich preview will appear, making the post more engaging and accessible for their sub-account users.
Our take
This is a standard update. It provides minor quality-of-life improvements for users of the Communities feature. While convenient, it is not a critical change for agency operations this week. HighLevel has not confirmed a reason for its significance, which aligns with our assessment that this is a small, incremental improvement.
