TL;DR
HighLevel updated Reviews AI Agents with brand voice settings, quality guardrails, sensitive review holds, and live response previews.
TL;DR
Reviews AI Agents now include brand voice settings, quality guardrails, sensitive review holds, and live previews. Check your sub-account agent settings if you use automated review responses.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed which plans or tiers are affected by this update.
Any agency or sub-account operator using or planning to use AI for automated review replies should review these settings. If you handle all customer reviews manually or do not manage reputation for clients, you can safely ignore this.
What changed
HighLevel added several controls to make Reviews AI Agents more configurable and safer to run automatically:
- Brand Voice controls: You can now configure "We" or "I" response styles, set the business name, define tone traits, enforce response length and character limits, and configure sign-off or footer preferences.
- Quality Guardrails: Agents can now remember recent responses, avoid repeating the same opening lines across reviews, and restrict language around refunds, guarantees, fault admissions, liability, and medical or financial advice.
- Sensitive review holds: You can configure an option to hold sensitive reviews for human review before publishing an automated reply.
- Live Response Preview: Operators can view and regenerate responses across positive, neutral, and negative review types before saving agent configurations.
HighLevel has not confirmed rollout status, plan gating, or replacement details for previous configurations.
Where to find it
HighLevel has not published the exact navigation path inside the platform yet.
It will live within the reputation and Reviews AI Agent configuration settings in your sub-account.
How agencies will use this
An agency setting up reputation management for a client sub-account can configure the Reviews AI Agent to sound consistent and avoid legal exposure.
Inside the sub-account configuration, the operator sets the voice style to "We," enters the client's business name, and enables restrictions blocking admissions of fault, guarantees, or refund promises. The agency also enables the hold option for sensitive reviews.
Before turning the automation on, the operator runs the Live Response Preview across positive, neutral, and negative mock reviews to test the tone and regenerate outputs until the formatting matches client expectations.
Our take
This is a standard update, but an important one for risk management.
The main problem with automated AI review responses has always been liability—specifically models admitting fault or promising refunds to angry customers on public review sites. Adding explicit guardrails against fault admissions, refund promises, and liability language addresses that operational risk directly.
It does not reinvent reputation management, but it makes running automated review replies significantly safer for client sub-accounts.
