HighLevel Workflow AI: Version History Added

TL;DR

HighLevel Workflow AI now tracks changes and allows rollbacks. This is a small workflow improvement; no immediate action is required.

Who this affects

HighLevel has not confirmed who is affected. It is likely to affect all users working with Workflow AI. No specific plan level or sub-account setup details are available.

What changed

Workflow AI now includes version history. Each AI-generated prompt creates a distinct artifact card. Users can view previous workflow versions. Users can restore previous workflow versions using a three-dot menu. Autosave settings affect iteration history.

HighLevel has not confirmed any limits, plan gating, or rollout status for this feature.

Where to find it

The new version history functionality is located within Automations > Workflow AI.

How agencies will use this

An agency owner is building out a complex client onboarding workflow for a new sub-account using Workflow AI. They've prompted the AI several times to refine the sequence of emails, SMS messages, and internal notifications. At one point, they realize an earlier AI-generated draft had a more effective call-to-action for an email than the current version. Instead of manually recreating that part, they can navigate to Automations > Workflow AI, access the version history, review the artifact cards, and restore the specific previous iteration of the workflow that contained the desired email content. This saves time and ensures the best version of each component is used, without losing progress on other parts of the workflow.

Our take

This is a standard feature enhancement. While useful for avoiding rework in complex AI-generated workflows, it’s a minor update. HighLevel has not confirmed its rollout status or who exactly is affected. This is not a critical update for agency owners this week.
