Calculated Custom Fields Enter Private Beta in HighLevel
TL;DR
HighLevel has introduced calculated custom fields in private beta for contacts, opportunities, and custom objects.

TL;DR
HighLevel added calculated custom fields in private beta for contacts, opportunities, and custom objects.
You do not need to take action right now unless your sub-account has access to the private beta.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed which plans or users are included in this private beta.
Agencies not enrolled in the beta test cannot access the feature yet and can safely ignore it for now.
What changed
HighLevel added a new field type and calculation framework with the following capabilities:
- Added a "Calculated" custom field type for contacts, opportunities, and custom objects.
- Provided four calculation types: Custom formula, Time between, Time since, and Time until.
- Supported five distinct output types: Number, Boolean, Text, Date, and Date-Time.
- Added number formatting controls for formatted numbers, unformatted numbers, currency, percentage, and duration.
- Included a built-in function library containing Math, Text, Date/Time, and Logic operations.
- Added formula testing using sample values before saving the field.
- Made calculated fields read-only, with automatic recalculation whenever source fields are updated.
- Allowed calculated fields to be used as smart list columns, smart list filters (excluding Time since and Time until), and workflow data points.
- HighLevel has not confirmed plan gating, usage limits, or the general rollout schedule.
Where to find it
HighLevel has not published the exact navigation path yet.
The feature will live alongside custom field configuration screens for contacts, opportunities, and custom objects once enabled for your sub-account.
How agencies will use this
An agency can define a new calculated field on an opportunity or contact using standard Math, Date/Time, or Logic functions, such as determining currency values or calculating duration.
Before saving the setup, the operator can enter sample data directly into the editor to verify that the formula outputs the expected result.
Once live, the field recalculates automatically whenever source fields change, remaining read-only for users.
The agency can then display the result as a column in a smart list, filter records by that calculated value, or reference the calculated field as a dynamic data point inside an automated workflow.
Our take
This is a major feature update. Native calculations eliminate the need for third-party scripts or convoluted multi-step workflows just to compute dates, booleans, or financial figures across records. Because it is currently in private beta, it does not require your attention today, but it will be an immediate utility once publicly available.
