Ask AI Now Includes Workflow AI Builder
TL;DR
The Workflow AI Builder is now accessible through Ask AI, enabling workflow creation and editing via natural language prompts, including from WhatsApp.

TL;DR
Ask AI now integrates the Workflow AI Builder, allowing users to create and edit workflows using natural language prompts directly within Ask AI. Manual editing and publishing still require the standard workflow builder.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who this specifically affects regarding plan levels or account types. Agency owners and SaaS entrepreneurs who use Ask AI or build workflows will be impacted by this change.
What changed
Ask AI can now call the Workflow AI agent. Users can create and edit a full workflow by describing it to Ask AI, without opening the workflow builder first. The capability to create workflows from a prompt, previously in Workflow AI, is now available through Ask AI. Workflows can now be created straight from WhatsApp via Ask AI. The generated workflow renders inside Ask AI for live preview. Users can inspect any step by clicking a trigger or action in the preview to see its full configuration. Users can ask the AI to make changes, and it updates the workflow in place. A call-to-action (CTA) allows users to open the workflow in the workflow builder. Manual editing of workflows is not supported inside Ask AI. Publishing of workflows always happens in the workflow builder after a final test. HighLevel has not confirmed limits, plan gating, or rollout status for this feature.
Where to find it
This capability is found within Ask AI, which is generally accessible from various points in the HighLevel platform. HighLevel has not published a specific navigation path beyond indicating it is now part of Ask AI's functionality.
How agencies will use this
An agency owner can now instruct Ask AI directly to create complex automations. For example, they could prompt, "Create a workflow that sends a welcome email immediately after a new lead is added, then waits one day and sends an SMS reminder for our service, and finally adds them to the 'Nurture' pipeline stage if they don't respond." Ask AI would then generate this workflow for preview. If the agency owner wanted to refine it, they could follow up with, "Change the SMS reminder to send three days later instead, and only if the email hasn't been opened." The AI would update the workflow in the preview. After reviewing the structure and details of the trigger, actions, and pipeline stage setup within Ask AI, the user would then click the CTA to open the workflow in the full workflow builder for final manual checks, specific content customization, and publishing.
Our take
This is a major update. Integrating workflow creation into Ask AI streamlines the initial build phase for automations, moving towards a more conversational interface for HighLevel power users. While publishing still requires the traditional workflow builder, the ability to rapidly draft and iterate on workflow logic via natural language, especially from external platforms like WhatsApp, represents a significant efficiency gain for agencies.
