TL;DR
Announcement Builder now supports advanced filters with and/or logic for targeting. CTA buttons can now open in a new tab; no immediate action is required for agencies.
Who this affects
This update affects HighLevel agency owners and SaaS entrepreneurs who utilize the Announcement Builder feature. HighLevel has not confirmed who is specifically affected by this update.
What changed
The Announcement Builder now includes several enhancements:
- Announcement Builder now supports advanced filters.
- Conditions with and/or logic can be added under the Audience tab.
- Announcements can be targeted to specific subaccounts.
- Announcements can be targeted to specific user types.
- CTA buttons can now open in a new tab.
HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating for these changes, nor has it confirmed the rollout status or if it replaces or breaks any existing functionality.
Where to find it
The new filtering capabilities are located within the Announcement Builder, specifically under the Audience tab. HighLevel has not published the exact navigation path for all features, but the Audience tab is where targeting conditions will be set.
How agencies will use this
An agency can now create highly targeted announcements for its clients. For instance, an agency providing services to a dozen dental clinics might want to announce a new integration for appointment reminders. With the advanced filters, they can target only their subaccounts marked as 'Dental Clinic' AND only the 'Admin' user type within those subaccounts. Additionally, they can include a CTA button that links to a detailed guide on the new integration, configured to open in a new tab so clients don't lose their current session in the HighLevel platform while reviewing the information.
Our take
This is a minor update. The addition of advanced filters and 'and/or' logic for announcement targeting offers more control, and the new tab option for CTAs is a user experience improvement. Agencies using the Announcement Builder will find these enhancements useful for more precise communication. However, it does not represent a significant platform shift for most agency operations this week.
