Workflow Badge Automation: New Actions and Triggers
TL;DR
Badge automation is now available in Workflows, allowing badges to be issued and used as triggers.

TL;DR
Workflows now automate badge issuance and can trigger off badge activity. No action required unless you use the Badges feature.
Who this affects
This affects users of the Badges feature in HighLevel. Agency owners who manage or issue badges to contacts for recognition or progression will find this relevant. HighLevel has not confirmed who else is affected.
What changed
Workflows now include an 'Issue Badge' action. This action automatically issues a selected badge when workflow conditions are met. Workflows now include a 'Badge Issued' trigger. This trigger starts a workflow when a badge is issued. HighLevel has not confirmed what this replaces or breaks, any limits or plan gating, or the rollout status.
Where to find it
This new functionality is located within Workflows. You will find the 'Issue Badge' action as a new step option in the workflow builder. The 'Badge Issued' trigger will appear in the list of available workflow triggers. HighLevel has not published the exact navigation path.
How agencies will use this
An agency could set up a workflow to automatically issue a 'Certified User' badge to contacts who complete a specific course. The workflow starts with a 'Tag Added' trigger (e.g., 'Course Complete'). The next step would be the new 'Issue Badge' action, selecting the 'Certified User' badge. Subsequently, another workflow could be created using the 'Badge Issued' trigger for 'Certified User' to automatically send an email congratulating the contact and offering access to an advanced resource library. This automates recognition and subsequent engagement based on achievement.
Our take
This is a major update for agencies using HighLevel's Badges feature. Automating badge issuance and triggering workflows based on badge activity adds significant utility to the system. If you haven't integrated badges into your client recognition or gamification strategies, this update makes a strong case to reconsider. For those not using badges, this is a minor update that can be safely ignored this week.
