Role Badges for Staff in Booking Widgets
TL;DR
GoHighLevel now allows users to add customizable, colored role badges to staff profiles for display in booking widgets.

TL;DR
HighLevel released a new feature allowing text-based role badges to be added to staff profiles for display on booking widgets. This is a minor update that affects how staff appear during service booking.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who is affected by this update. Those using the booking widget feature for services will see this functionality available.
What changed
Users can now create reusable role badges for staff members. A single text-based role badge, up to 30 characters, can be added to each staff member's profile. Each staff role badge can have its own color. The role badge appears on the staff member's card during staff selection on the booking widget. Badges are styled in a lighter shade of the widget's primary color. Staff without a configured tag will not show a badge or placeholder. Edits or removals of badges are reflected on the booking widget the next time it loads. The badge renders consistently on both desktop and mobile widget layouts. HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating for this feature. HighLevel has not confirmed the rollout status of this feature.
Where to find it
This feature is located under Services → Staff within the HighLevel product.
How agencies will use this
An agency providing a range of services might have staff with specialized roles for specific service types. For example, if an agency offers 'Social Media Management' and 'Paid Ads Management' services, they could assign a 'Social Media Specialist' badge to relevant staff members and a 'Paid Ads Expert' badge to others. When a client books a 'Paid Ads Management' service, and they are presented with staff options on the booking widget, seeing a 'Paid Ads Expert' badge next to a staff member's name can help them quickly identify the most suitable person for their needs, improving clarity in the client's selection process.
Our take
This is a minor update. It adds a small visual enhancement to the booking widget. While it offers some utility for clarifying staff roles during booking, it does not represent a significant functional change for agencies or their clients this week. Agencies should be aware of it if they frequently use the booking widget for services.
