GoKollab Communities & Courses Get Dark Mode
TL;DR
Dark Mode is now available for Communities and Courses on GoKollab web, allowing members to switch appearances and owners to configure independent light and dark palettes.

TL;DR
Dark Mode is live for GoKollab Communities and Courses on the web. Community owners should review and configure their dark mode brand palettes.
Who this affects
This affects GoHighLevel agency owners and SaaS entrepreneurs who use or plan to use the GoKollab Communities and Courses feature. Specifically, those with active Communities and Courses will see this update immediately. HighLevel has not confirmed who else is affected.
What changed
Dark Mode is now available for Communities and Courses on GoKollab web. Members can switch between light and dark appearances from the top navigation. Their selected mode is remembered across refreshes and applies across the entire experience. Community owners can configure and preview independent light and dark color palettes. These separate light and dark brand palettes are configured from Settings → Appearance. Editing one palette does not overwrite the other. Dark Mode applies to posts, comments, channels, chats, members, events, calendars, mentions, attachments, About pages, and community cards. Courses, lessons, assessments, assignments, quizzes, and live-session surfaces remain readable in Dark Mode. Dark Mode extends to discovery, home showcases, onboarding, pricing, integrations, information pages, and account surfaces. Legacy custom themes use their existing palette if a separate dark palette is not configured. The member appearance preference persists across sessions. HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating, nor has it provided rollout status.
Where to find it
Community owners will find the configuration options for light and dark brand palettes under Settings → Appearance within GoKollab. Members can switch modes from the top navigation bar within GoKollab Communities and Courses on the web.
How agencies will use this
Agencies and SaaS entrepreneurs can now offer a more comfortable viewing experience for their clients and members who prefer darker interfaces. For example, an agency running a premium GoKollab community for its SaaS clients can navigate to Settings → Appearance. Here, they will configure a distinct dark palette that aligns with their brand, ensuring all elements like posts, comments, and member profiles appear cohesive and professional in Dark Mode. This allows clients to switch their viewing preference in their GoKollab experience, reducing eye strain during prolonged use, especially in low-light conditions. This feature can improve user retention by making the platform more accessible and personalized, without requiring the agency to manage two entirely separate visual themes manually.
Our take
This is a standard interface enhancement for GoKollab. Dark Mode is expected functionality in modern web applications. Agencies using Communities and Courses should take a few minutes to set up their dark mode color palettes to maintain brand consistency. For those not heavily utilizing GoKollab, this is a minor update and can likely be ignored for now. HighLevel has not provided any specific reasons for its significance beyond the feature itself.
