Error Detection and Recommendations in Forms, Surveys, Quizzes
TL;DR
HighLevel added automated error detection on save, setup recommendations, and a configuration Insights tab to Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes.

TL;DR
HighLevel now catches build errors on save and flags setup oversights across Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes.
You do not need to overhaul existing assets, but it will change how you QA builds going forward.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed which specific subscription plans receive this update or whether it is gated by sub-account permissions.
Anyone actively creating or editing Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes will encounter the new validation rules. If you do not touch form builders, you can ignore it.
What changed
- Added automatic error detection when saving Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes, which surfaces issues in a dedicated modal and inline next to the affected fields.
- Added click-to-navigate links within error lists that jump straight to the specific field requiring adjustment.
- Added real-time error clearance, automatically striking resolved items off the error list as changes are made.
- Added a Recommendations system that flags common setup oversights, including placeholder URLs, default custom field names, active test mode payment settings, and disabled bot protection.
- Added a toggle switch within the Settings section to enable or disable Recommendations.
- Added an Insights tab displaying total counts for conditional logic rules and custom fields, along with status indicators for auto-responders, email notifications, and payment modes.
- Plan gating, replacement behavior, and current rollout status have not been confirmed by HighLevel.
Where to find it
HighLevel has not published the exact navigation path yet. The features operate directly inside the builders for Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes, with the toggle residing in the builder Settings section and the configuration metrics visible under the new Insights tab.
How agencies will use this
When deploying a client sub-account, an operator building an intake survey or payment form can run a quick QA check right from the save action. If someone left Stripe in test mode, forgot to rename a default custom field, or left bot protection off, the builder flags it immediately before the asset goes live. The builder clicks the error modal link to jump directly to the misconfigured element, watches the error strike off in real time once fixed, and checks the Insights tab to confirm conditional logic counts and auto-responders are active without auditing every individual step.
Our take
This is a standard quality-of-life update. It is not going to alter your business model or drive new revenue, but catching unconfigured bot protection, placeholder URLs, and test mode payments on save eliminates sloppy mistakes before client traffic hits a page. It is a solid, minor operational improvement that makes form building less error-prone.
