Discover Marketplace Apps with Ask AI Integration

TL;DR

HighLevel's App Marketplace is now integrated with Ask AI, enabling natural language app discovery. Agencies can control this feature for sub-account users.

Who this affects

This primarily affects agencies and their sub-account users who actively use the App Marketplace or need to find new app solutions. Agency admins always have access. For sub-account users, their ability to discover apps via Ask AI depends on whether the agency enables "Ask AI Discoverability" for their sub-account. If disabled, sub-account users will not see these recommendations.

What changed

The HighLevel App Marketplace is now integrated with Ask AI.

  • Users can describe app requirements in natural language to Ask AI.
  • Ask AI recommends relevant Marketplace apps based on user input.
  • Recommendations include the app name, category, description, and capabilities.
  • Users can click 'View Details' for recommended apps.
  • Users can select 'Show more apps in Marketplace' for additional options.
  • Agencies can control Ask AI Discoverability for sub-account users.
  • Ask AI Discoverability can be enabled or disabled for sub-accounts.
  • If Ask AI Discoverability is disabled for a sub-account, recommendations are not surfaced.
  • Agency admins always have access to Marketplace discovery through Ask AI.
  • HighLevel has not confirmed who is affected, what this replaces or breaks, any limits or plan gating, or the rollout status.

Where to find it

The control for agencies to manage Ask AI Discoverability for sub-account users is located at: App Marketplace → Settings → Marketplace Visibility.

How agencies will use this

An agency owner, managing a sub-account for a new real estate client, might log in and use Ask AI to find solutions. They could type, "I need an app that helps agents manage open house sign-ups and send follow-up texts." Ask AI would then present a list of Marketplace apps that match these capabilities, showing their names, categories, and descriptions. The agency owner could then click "View Details" on a promising app like "OpenHousePro" to learn more or select "Show more apps in Marketplace" to browse additional options. If the agency preferred their sub-account users (the real estate agents) not to browse apps independently, the agency admin would navigate to App Marketplace → Settings → Marketplace Visibility and disable "Ask AI Discoverability" for that specific sub-account, preventing agents from seeing these recommendations.

Our take

This is a major update for agencies looking to streamline app discovery and manage sub-account access to marketplace features. It simplifies the process of finding relevant solutions for clients and provides agencies with necessary controls over sub-account user experience. The ability to control sub-account access is a critical inclusion for agencies who want to curate tools without users introducing unapproved apps.
