Design Custom Invoice Layouts with New AI Builder
TL;DR
GoHighLevel now allows users to design custom invoice layouts using a new AI-powered layout builder.

TL;DR
HighLevel released a new AI-powered builder for custom invoice layouts. Users can design layouts using AI prompts and manage them from a list view. This is a major update for anyone sending invoices.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who is affected by this feature. It likely impacts agency owners and their clients who use HighLevel's invoicing features. Agencies that send invoices through HighLevel will be able to customize their appearance.
What changed
HighLevel now includes a new AI-powered layout builder for invoices. Users can describe desired invoice layouts using a prompt, and AI will build them. Existing invoice layouts can also be uploaded or described for the AI to rebuild. Users can then fine-tune these AI-generated layouts in a visual builder.
The system saves a restore point for AI changes, allowing users to revert to earlier versions if needed. Users can also rate the AI responses, providing feedback.
A new list view allows users to manage multiple invoice layouts. From this view, layouts can be previewed, downloaded, cloned, or deleted. The list supports switching between grid and list views, and includes searching by name and sorting by name or last updated date. It also shows a history of who created, edited, published, or copied each layout and when.
Users can select a published layout for any invoice. However, invoice layouts lock once an invoice is sent or partially paid. Deleted layouts do not affect already sent invoices. Draft invoices that were using a deleted layout will revert to the default layout.
HighLevel has not confirmed any limits, plan gating, or the rollout status for this feature.
Where to find it
This new feature is located in the product under Payments > Invoices & Estimates > Layouts.
How agencies will use this
An agency owner can now standardize and brand their client invoices directly within HighLevel. For instance, an agency providing marketing services to various niches might need different invoice styles. They can navigate to Payments > Invoices & Estimates > Layouts, click to create a new layout, and use the AI builder. The agency owner could prompt, "Create a sleek, modern invoice layout with our agency logo prominently displayed at the top, using a blue and white color scheme, and clear sections for service description, quantity, rate, and total." The AI would generate a draft. The owner can then visually adjust fonts, spacing, and logo placement to match their brand guidelines precisely. They can save this as their agency's default. For a client in the real estate sector, they might create another layout, prompting the AI for a "professional, property-focused invoice layout with space for a property address and agent commission details." This allows for tailored branding on financial documents without needing external design tools or custom code, then assign that specific layout to relevant invoices for that client, ensuring a consistent brand experience.
Our take
This is a major update. The introduction of an AI-powered layout builder for invoices streamlines a common agency need: professional, branded financial documents. The ability to use AI for initial design, fine-tune visually, and manage multiple layouts is a significant improvement. While HighLevel has not confirmed specifics on affected users, limits, plan gating, or rollout status, the core functionality offers clear value. Agencies can save time on invoice design and maintain a more polished brand image. This matters for agencies that prioritize client experience and operational efficiency.
