Workflow Dynamic Values: New Chip Interface with Quick Add
TL;DR
HighLevel workflows now display dynamic values as chips and support quick adding and editing via a '/' command.

TL;DR
Dynamic values in workflow text fields now show as chips. You can quickly add and edit them using a new interface. This is a UI-only change.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who this affects. This is a UI improvement for anyone building or editing workflows within the platform.
What changed
Dynamic values within workflow text fields are now displayed as chips. This is a visual change.
To insert a custom value, type / inside a workflow text field. This action opens a search interface for custom values.
Existing custom value chips can be clicked to replace them with another value. This replacement occurs in the same location.
If a custom value becomes stale or is unrecognized, it will be highlighted in red.
This update is purely a user interface change. Existing custom values, how they render, and the overall behavior of workflows remain unchanged.
HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating for this feature.

Where to find it
This change is located in:
Automations -> Workflows -> workflow text fields
When editing any action or trigger in a workflow that includes a text field where dynamic values can be inserted (e.g., sending an SMS, updating a contact field, or setting an email subject).
How agencies will use this
An agency owner is building a new client onboarding workflow for a new SaaS sub-account. They are setting up an initial welcome email. In the email subject line, they need to include the contact's first name, the agency's name, and the client's product name. Instead of manually typing or searching for custom fields in a separate dropdown, they can now type / in the subject line field. This brings up a search bar to quickly find Contact First Name. They then type / again to find their agency's custom value for Agency Name, and repeat for Product Name. If the Product Name custom value is later deprecated or misspelled, it will turn red, alerting the agency owner to fix it without having to test the entire workflow. This makes constructing complex dynamic messages faster and reduces errors.
Our take
This is a standard UI enhancement. It simplifies the process of adding and editing dynamic values within workflows, making workflow building slightly more efficient. While it does not introduce new functionality or directly impact workflow execution, it's a quality-of-life improvement for those who spend significant time configuring workflows. This is a minor update.
