WhatsApp Analytics Arrives in Workflow AI Assistant

TL;DR

The Workflow AI Assistant now includes performance analytics for WhatsApp messages. It helps users understand WhatsApp delivery, failure, and read rates.

Who this affects

HighLevel has not confirmed who specifically is affected. Agencies using WhatsApp for client communication in workflows will find this useful. Those not using WhatsApp will not see a direct impact.

What changed

The AI Assistant inside Workflows now reports on WhatsApp message performance. This expands its analytical capabilities beyond Email and SMS.

Specifically, the AI Assistant:

  • Calculates delivery and read metrics directly from live data for WhatsApp steps within workflows.
  • Provides counts for total sends, delivered, failed, and pending messages.
  • Generates calculated delivery and failure rates for WhatsApp messages.
  • Includes read counts for delivered messages and the corresponding read rate.
  • Performs automatic period-over-period comparisons for user-specified time windows.
  • Delivers insight-led responses. It identifies changes and observations related to message volume, delivery, failure, and read behavior.

HighLevel has not confirmed any limits, plan gating, or rollout status for this feature.

Where to find it

This new functionality is available by opening the AI Assistant in any workflow. HighLevel has not published a more specific location beyond this.

How agencies will use this

An agency owner can now quickly review their WhatsApp performance directly within a client's workflow. For example, a marketing agency running lead nurturing campaigns via WhatsApp for a real estate client might have a workflow that sends a series of messages after a form submission. Previously, getting comprehensive performance data for these WhatsApp messages required manual extraction and analysis from multiple sources. Now, they can open the AI Assistant in that specific workflow, choose a time period, and immediately see the delivery rate for their WhatsApp messages, the failure rate, and critically, the read rate. If the AI Assistant reports a significant drop in the read rate compared to the previous period, the agency can quickly identify a potential issue with message content, timing, or audience engagement, allowing them to adjust the workflow messages or audience targeting without leaving the HighLevel platform.

Our take

This is a standard update. It enhances the analytical capabilities within the workflow builder. For agencies heavily leveraging WhatsApp, this provides convenience by centralizing performance insights. It saves time otherwise spent pulling data from disparate sources. If you do not actively use WhatsApp in your workflows, this update will not affect your day-to-day operations this week. It is a minor quality-of-life improvement rather than a game-changing addition.
