Users can now record and send voice notes in GoHighLevel community posts and comments. No action is required from agency owners at this time.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who is affected by this update. However, it is relevant to agencies utilizing the Communities feature within HighLevel. Agencies not using the Communities feature can safely ignore this update.
What changed
Users can now record and send voice notes directly within community posts and comments. A microphone button is available in the composer for recording. Users have the ability to pause, resume, or cancel a recording. These audio notes can be uploaded alongside existing content types like images, videos, and files. Voice notes include a full waveform view for display. Playback speed control is available for these voice notes. Autoplay is also available for voice notes. HighLevel has not confirmed any limits or plan gating for this feature. HighLevel has not confirmed the rollout status for this feature.
Where to find it
This feature will be found within the Community section of HighLevel, specifically when composing new posts or comments. Look for a microphone button in the composer.
How agencies will use this
Agencies can leverage this to enhance engagement in client communities. For example, an agency managing a coaching program might have their coaches provide short audio feedback on client posts directly in the community. A coach could listen to a client's recorded question, then record a voice note in reply, explaining a concept or offering encouragement, rather than typing out a long response. This provides a more personal touch and can save time compared to extensive typing, improving the perceived value of the community for members.
Our take
This is a standard addition, not a major shift. It's a small enhancement to the existing Communities feature. If you use Communities, it adds a new way for users to interact. If you don't, it's irrelevant. It does not replace or break any existing functionality, according to HighLevel. This is a minor update.
