New Calendar Setting Counts Only Available Working Days

TL;DR

Calendars, services, and rentals can now be configured to count only available working days within a date range setting. This is a minor update that streamlines scheduling for certain use cases.

Who this affects

HighLevel has not confirmed who is affected. Agencies using meeting calendars, services, or rental listings for their clients may find this useful. If your clients schedule appointments or bookings and have specific availability, this feature helps ensure date ranges accurately reflect working days.

What changed

A new 'Count available days only' toggle has been added directly below the Date Range setting. When this toggle is enabled, the system will skip days outside your defined availability schedule when counting the date range. The date range will start counting from the first available day after the minimum scheduling notice period ends. This functionality is supported on Meeting Calendars, Services, and Rentals. Round robin and collective calendars are included; a day counts as available if at least one assigned team member has availability. Date-specific hour overrides are respected, meaning added days contribute to the window, and blocked days are skipped. HighLevel has not confirmed any limitations, plan gating, or the rollout status of this feature.

Where to find it

The new toggle is located within Calendar settings under Calendars → Calendar Settings (edit calendar). For services, it can be found under Services → Global Settings → Service Settings. For rentals, navigate to Rentals (edit listing) → Booking Settings.

How agencies will use this

Consider an agency managing a high-ticket coaching client using a HighLevel sub-account. This client offers a 5-day discovery period, but only works Monday through Friday. Previously, a 5-day date range setting would include weekend days, potentially forcing a client to book beyond the intended business week. With the new 'Count available days only' toggle enabled on their Meeting Calendar, the 5-day range will now correctly count only Monday through Friday. If a prospect books on a Wednesday, the 5-day discovery window will close the following Wednesday, skipping the weekend, ensuring the client's availability is accurately reflected in the booking window.

Our take

This is a minor update. While it addresses a specific scheduling nuance that some agencies and their clients will appreciate, it is not a broad system change. It improves accuracy for date range calculations based on availability, which can reduce confusion for prospects trying to book. This is an incremental improvement rather than a significant new capability.
