Email Events: Message ID Now Available in Dynamic Picker
TL;DR
Email Events now include a Message ID, available in the Send Webhook action's custom value picker.

TL;DR
Email Events workflows now offer a unique Message ID within the Send Webhook action. This update is standard and requires no immediate action unless you use Email Events and webhooks for advanced tracking.
Who this affects
HighLevel has not confirmed who is specifically affected. However, users of workflows that start with Email Events and include a Send Webhook action will see this new option. If your agency does not use Email Events, this update is not relevant.
What changed
Email Events now carry a unique Message ID. This Message ID is available as a custom value within the Send Webhook body. Every open and click on the same email sends the same Message ID. A different email sends a different Message ID. The ID rides along with the event itself. The ID is stable per message. Repeat opens send the same value every time. HighLevel has not confirmed any limits, plan gating, or rollout status for this feature.
Where to find it
This new custom value is found within a workflow that starts with Email Events. Open the Send Webhook action in such a workflow. The Message ID will be available in the dynamic value picker.
How agencies will use this
Agencies can leverage the Message ID to track individual email messages more precisely within external systems. For example, an agency managing lead engagement might have a workflow that triggers on an 'Email Opened' event. This workflow includes a 'Send Webhook' action that passes data to a custom CRM or a data warehousing solution. With this update, the agency can now include the Message ID in the webhook payload. When a contact opens the same email multiple times, the external system receives the same unique Message ID, allowing for accurate deduplication of 'open' events for a specific email message while still recording each interaction. This provides a more robust audit trail for individual email performance rather than just aggregate metrics.
Our take
This is a standard update, not a major shift. The Message ID is a useful addition for agencies that need granular tracking of email interactions via webhooks. If you rely on external systems for detailed email event logging, this provides a more stable identifier than previous methods. For most agencies, however, this will be a minor detail unlikely to impact day-to-day operations this week. It expands the data available, but does not introduce new core functionality.
