Conditional Form Logic for Services & Rentals Bookings

TL;DR

Custom forms for Services and Rentals bookings now fully support conditional logic for post-booking actions. This requires enabling a new global setting.

Who this affects

This primarily affects agency owners and SaaS entrepreneurs who use GoHighLevel's Services and Rentals feature and rely on custom forms for booking processes. If you manage appointments, classes, or rentals and want more dynamic control over the post-booking experience based on form inputs, this update is relevant.

What changed

Custom forms linked to Services and Rentals bookings now include conditional logic support. This means that actions performed after a booking, such as redirects, custom messages, or lead disqualification, can now be triggered based on conditions within the booking form itself.

To activate these post-booking actions, a new global setting must be enabled. When this setting is active, custom form conditions that dictate the confirmation page experience will apply after the form is submitted. This new functionality means the custom form's 'On Submit' action will control the confirmation page, overriding any confirmation settings previously configured at the calendar level.

A new checkbox, "Let a custom form override this with its own rules," is now available in Global Settings under 'Form & confirmation'. If an attached custom form does not have applicable settings or rules, the confirmation page will revert to the default configuration in Global Settings.

Inline banners will now appear at the individual listing or service level when selecting a custom form, providing clear information on how form rules will behave. HighLevel has not confirmed who this affects specifically, what it replaces or breaks, any limits or plan gating, or the rollout status.

Where to find it

The primary control for this feature is located within GoHighLevel at Services/Rentals > Global settings > Form & confirmation. You will find the new checkbox, "Let a custom form override this with its own rules," in this section. Additionally, inline banners will appear within individual service or rental listings when you are selecting and configuring custom forms.

How agencies will use this

An agency managing a client's yoga studio using Services could now implement a custom booking form for classes. If a customer answers "yes" to a form question asking if they are a first-time attendee, the conditional logic could trigger a redirect to a welcome page with a special offer for new clients. Simultaneously, if they answer "no," the form might simply display a standard confirmation message and redirect them to their profile. This allows for dynamic, personalized post-booking experiences directly tied to user input, without needing complex workflows to handle simple post-submission redirects or messages. Before this update, such post-booking actions based on form conditions were not natively supported in Services and Rentals.

Our take

This is a major update for agencies heavily utilizing Services and Rentals. It provides much-needed flexibility for customizing the post-booking experience based on user input, moving beyond static confirmation pages. While HighLevel has not confirmed certain details like rollout status, the core functionality significantly enhances form utility within the booking process. This update adds more power to conditional logic, making forms more dynamic and reducing the need for more complex workarounds to achieve similar results.
