Bulk Trigger Workflows for Companies & Custom Objects

TL;DR

HighLevel now allows users to trigger workflows for multiple Company or Custom Object records directly from the list view.

TL;DR

Users can now trigger workflows in bulk for Companies and Custom Objects from their respective list views. No immediate action is required unless you manage many company or custom object records.

Who this affects

This change primarily affects agencies and SaaS businesses that manage a large number of Company records or utilize Custom Objects. If you frequently need to apply the same automation to groups of these record types, this update is relevant. HighLevel has not confirmed specific user roles or plan levels affected.

What changed

HighLevel has introduced the ability to trigger automations for Companies and Custom Objects in bulk. Specifically:

  • Users can select multiple Company or Custom Object records from their list view.
  • An automation can be triggered in bulk for all selected records.
  • Users can choose a specific workflow to run without individually updating each record.
  • Progress of these bulk actions can be tracked, and record-level results can be reviewed from the Bulk Actions section. HighLevel has not confirmed any limits, plan gating, or rollout status.

Where to find it

This new functionality is located within the Companies or Custom Object list views. After selecting multiple records, the option to trigger a workflow will appear within the Bulk Actions menu.

How agencies will use this

An agency working with numerous clients might use this feature to onboard a new batch of companies. For example, if a new client package includes a specific set of automations for their business, the agency can now select all newly added client Company records from the Companies list view. They would then navigate to Bulk Actions, choose the "Trigger Automation" option, and select a pre-configured onboarding workflow designed for new clients. This workflow might include actions like assigning a dedicated account manager, sending an initial welcome email series to key contacts within the company, or creating initial tasks for the agency's internal team. This eliminates the need to manually trigger the workflow for each client's company record.

Our take

This is a standard quality-of-life update. While not a groundbreaking feature, it addresses a common operational inefficiency for users managing many Company or Custom Object records. Agencies that frequently deal with bulk updates or onboarding for these record types will find it useful. For others, it's a minor improvement that might see occasional use.
